Hello and welcome. My name is Wren Loades and I am an integrative and holistic therapist with close ties to Adelaide, Hills and Fleurieu. Originally from Darwin, my Grandmother's Country is on the Daly River, NT and my ancestral connections are Malak Malak and Ngan'gi, as well as Irish, Welsh and Scottish.
The Willie Wagtail is a good luck bird and is called asyarra in the Ngan'gi language. Being both black and white, holding both duality and balance, I feel this represents what I do in my practice. Aiming to help people restore their balance, with all of the dualities and complexities within our daily lives. Asyarra Being is a way for living.
I am trained as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, and I work within a holistic framework. What does this mean? Holistic therapy in its purest essence addresses the mind, body and spirit to support health and wellbeing. Holistic therapy seeks to enhance the mind-body-spirit connection to improve wellbeing, lower stress, and help to reduce trauma responses.
This means that I believe deeply that one size does not fit all.
In my practice, we explore your unique situation, expression, perspective and experiences. We can unpack the complexities and layers of experience together, to bring balance, alignment, meaning and a deep, regulated, strong sense of self and being.
I have worked with people in many states of vulnerability and change for over twenty years. I have always worked with people and am passionate about 'being with' - the guiding and witnessing of change and support in action.
Formally I have studied at the Australian College of Applied Psychology, UniSA and Ikon Institute of Australia.
I have extensive training in and am a Family and Systemic Constellation facilitator.
Combining my love of ecotherapy and holding sacred space has led me to years of training and lovingly dedicated practice, and have been blessed with many beautiful mentors and teachers along the way.
I hold sessions for individuals, couples, groups, hold Circles, retreats and workshops across Adelaide, Hills and Fleurieu, SA.
I consult in person in Glen Osmond, South Australia. Online appointments also available. Unfortunately I am unable to offer the Medicare rebate at this time, however concession is available where appropriate, and in most cases is a similar price point as a gap payment.
Walk and Talk therapy sessions are available on Fridays and Saturdays, please use the contact form to arrange as we have more flexibility with location selection.
